Today, we are searching for new methods of holistic healing. We are not content with exercising our body only, but desire to cultivate our mind and spirit as well.

With this in mind, Dr. Weng has developed Cardio Tai-Chi, a combination of ancient Tai-chi techniques with modern Cardiovascular fitness methods as a great discipline for maintaining health and cultivating the mind and spirit. Originating from concepts taught in his accredited course at the National College of Physical Education and Sports in Taiwan, Cardio Tai Chi is taught using the “Tai-Chi Bird” story and routine, and is an invaluable tool for beginners and advanced students alike. With the understanding of the purpose of each Tai-chi technique and keeping in mind a simple story that weaves the movements together, you can create a holistic work-out as intense as you like.

The exercises of Cardio Tai-Chi are taught within the frame of a short story. Like that of the “Tai-Chi Monkey”, this story functions as a memorization aid for students.

The exercises taught in the Cardio Tai-Chi program are also ideal for anyone wishing to take their tai-chi skills into the ring. Watch for upcoming articles on the self-defense aspects of Cardio Tai-Chi and how you can utilize these exercises in a competition setting.
